I wasn't planning on reading Mosquitoland before, but after hearing your review, I now plan on keeping it 50, 000 miles away from me. All of the things you described are huge pet peeves of mine and it was making my blood boil just hearing about them.
Aw I'm so happy for you and the gift that was The Royal Wedding :))) I never read The Princess Diaries, but it's so great to see an author give back to their fans in a book like this.

Great reviews Adriana! Everything Leads to You sounds very interesting and it looks like it would be a very moving story. I'll have to check it out sometime!

Yes, I did enjoy this format a lot! Also, I'm so glad you are honest about the things you don't like about a book. Mosquitoland looks so cute that it might have been a cover-buy had I come across it in store, now I think I'll just have to leave it on the shelf;)

Hahaha, "hella okay." I need to start to use that terminology when reviewing.
I must get my hands on Royal Wedding! I read the series forever ago, and if nothing else, I need to have Royal Wedding because hearing about it makes me so nostalgic. I'm so glad that it lives up to the original series! -Morgan

Oh damn you got me to take this book off of my TBR just by saying this is a guy's version of what a girl's mind is. Nope. Not for Sylwia. Cannot cross this off hard or fast enough.

You are on point about the sexual connection between the characters. I so appreciate all of your commentary about it because you have clearly analyzed it the way each book deserves to be analyzed.

Oh damn, a book with a lesbian protag that isn't about coming out? I'm about that. I've heard negative reviews about it but I'm a little biased when it comes to LGBTQIA+ books. Sometimes I just want to appreciate that they exist at all. I think I'll at least read it. Maybe I'll take it out from the library instead of buying it.

Another awesome video! I personally prefer wrap-ups and mini-reviews to 1-book-1-video reviews. :)

Glad you liked Everything Leads To You. I really did like the way sexuality was handled in that book. So refreshing!

I think this was a great format also, apart from your other reviews! I've read and heard other people discussing Mosquitoland and finding it problematic. To bad since it sounds like a great idea for a book. However, I became really curious about Blue is the warmest color, and will definitely be checking that out!

Ack not picking up Mosquitoland, sounds like all my least favorite things wrapped up in a novel, bad writing, bad treatment of women and bad treatment of other cultures, stay away from me please. So glad you loved Royal Wedding!!! Ooh definitely putting Blue is the Warmest Color on my TBR list, always love hearing about new (new to me) graphic novels. Yesss to everything you said about Everything Leads to You, I had the same thoughts! I like these mini-review style videos, sometimes wrap ups can get a little crammed when 10+ books have been read and trying to keep the video from being horrendously long.

P.S I just started volume 15 of SnK so I thought of you ;D

I'm back! I actually came back to this reviews video for advice XD I grew up with The Princess Diaries Movies, and I want to read Royal Wedding. But I want to know if you think its best to read the actual series first (which I haven't - but do intend to one day) or is it fine to go ahead with RW with context only from the two movies.

I have been planning to pick up Everything Leads to You because it was about a lesbian, and after hearing that it is a coming out story, I am definitely going to buy it!

I listened to the first Princess Diaries book and was in love. It's quirky and funny and I know I'm gonna have a blast with the rest of the books in the series.

I've seen people haul Mesquitoland and have been interested but now, hell WHy do men love pitting women against each other for childish reasons? oH mEN.

You legitamately spoke for me when you talked about Mosquitoland! The cultural appropriation was clear on the page and I hate the way he addresses mental illness. The story had potential to be perfect, but I'll be very honest - Arnold messed it up bigtime.
