Brent - I watch a ton of YouTube vids and I almost never comment. I wanted to tell you that I am very impressed with this cable railing system. But more importantly I am super impressed with your video. No muss no fuss no bs side conversations and no re do's of explanations. Additionally, you have a great voice for videos. Well done Brent. jwb

Wow! What a great system. Thanks for sharing that. Makes me wish I had a need for a raised deck! I'll need to check to see if they make it in white and just as a step rail.

What does the structure look like below these posts? Need to see the joists and blocking it's screwing into.

You might want to consider….

Reading for audio books.

Your enunciation is crisp, your cadence is soothing & draws one into the convo because you seem genuinely interested in the subject matter.

This is a really cool system. I saw Perkins Brothers Builders install the same system last week.

It would be nice if they made a 45° corner post since my future deck will be a square with a clipped corner. A drink rail would also be cool.

Nice. But I would have used some construction adhesive with the screws. Screws always loosen over the long haul.

Excellent job Sr. why you did not use a stair line post instead of a mid line post?

That is definitely a very sexy deck system. I just built a large deck with stainless steel cabling so I totally appreciate the modularity of this system. I'm curious though how you can get something like that to pass code. With a deck over 30 in high those posts need to be 42 in tall and with all that leverage and only four bolts holding it from the top I don't think it would be stiff enough to withstand the 200 lb test load at the very top which can't deflect more than about an inch and a half. I could see when you were trying to "plumb" the post that there was quite a bit of flex on your base deck. I did watch your video building the deck but I didn't really see enough blocking underneath where the post mount to secure them even with that lovely structural screw which I often use from Simpson SDWS Timber screw. The span between your posts was over 4 ft which normally wouldn't pass code here without an intermediate support for the wires. Maximum gap allowed is 4 in and even with the fancy tensioning system I doubt you could prevent it from opening up in the middle to 4 in.

this railing works if you're building a basic rectangular deck. I have angle cuts in the corners, which looks better, but the railing connections had to swivel to work. Trex makes swivel connectors, which were very expensive.
