I converted from Christianity but yes I do “pray”to the Gods and Great Spirit as a Norse Pagan.

It’s more that I talk to them like I talk to my friends. I thank them for thier blessings and gifts and if I have a request I ask it. But I also talk about everyday things with them.

Absolutely. Prayer is transcendent across faith both old world and new world. Prayer, pray beeds, confession, priests are all names for thing done by many many cultures. The Christians did not make everything nor own everything!

Yes. Praying to the gods is essential. They need to hear from us just as much as we need to hear from them. Talk to them like you talk to friends or a brother or sister. NOT like a christian. Don't bore or be angry with them! They will walk away from you if you do. Be very honest, thankful and encouraging. Trust, Patience and persistance is a must if you need their help as they sort out on how to help you. Hail the specific Gods you are praying to at the end. Hail Odin! Til Valhal, Skål!

I use Veneto instead of pray and Homagium instead of worship, both have a narrower meaning, plus they move me farther from the Judeo/Christian religion. Growing up in the Christian faith it’s helping me to embrace Paganism without falling back in Christian worshipping.
