But what about other public places where people are not using quota but still face rampant caste discrimination? For example - temple entree or horse riding during marriage.

Toh ye toh normal hai i am student of iit kanpur i have many sc st and obc along with general friends in our group of 11 friends and i am general my self of brahmin caste we all play games go for night outs hangout we know each others caste there is no discrimination on that basis ask any sc st candidate studying in iit atleast have 2 to 4 general friends we all live like brothers surviving harsh acadmics of iit k 😂 i think its all politics to divide hindus and my sc friends have same thoughts iit bombay ko bhi jnu bnna denge😂 they help me in lot of things i also help them whats the matter all are humans and this all stuff is of degenerated fools for political gain they promote hate among friends for life we all go to ccd study for sems quizzes and what not quint is rubbish.

I saw the same thing... I went to give JEE (Advanced) examination and I met few students at the exam center you will be Shocked to know that 3 out of 1students was either SC/ST and they were saying that they 've gotten something through Mains and it was like getting in CS branch in NITs .

This is obvious. If you got admission for your caste then people will point out that you killed the one more meritorious student

Your friend and you have almost same financial status. You score 100 and your friend scored just 50. He got the seat and you not. This has only one name- DISCRIMINATION!! When a dalit is harrased, it is caste discrimination for sure, no doubt about it. But when a so called high caste student fails to get a seat in a good college even after tremendous efforts, that is caste discrimination too!!

Why people wants to know a person's caste when they all are in same university. Their job is to study well and achieve success rather getting to know the caste. If they are willing to know about anyone's caste that means they are deviating from their path and getting into a social discrimination way, automatically. What can the do even if they know the caste of a student who is their classmate?? I donno why people are running to know the caste and rather then growing and flourishing together by being in the same university. What's the point of doing so when u are on the same track. Just help out eachother. I never discriminated my sc/St/obc friends at IIT KHARAGPUR. Rather they were very kind and helpful. We never bother to know the surname with the intention of showing down to some one. And people who are ranting here in comment section, kindly stop spreading worthless, points .
