The Lord is our refuge…” - I love this. Just read all of Psalm 46. It’s powerful. I wrote the song “Shelter” with @codycarnes near the end of the writing process for the album. I just really think there is an invitation in this Psalm for all of us. Whatever we’re facing…Whatever we’re going through…”The Lord is our refuge.

I treated my wife so bad and cheated. Today when I woke up my wife was playing this song and it broke my heart knowing how much I love Christ and my marriage. I took a step of moving away from evil and love my wife the way Christ loved His church. This song changed me so much.

This song comes at a time where I feel alone, unworthy because of my heart. Rejected, but I remember that I am not justified by my own actions or heart but Jesus Christ justifies me. And that God remains my refuge and shelter. God does not condemn me but He calls me his own. He knows of my brokenness but He loves me the way I am and only Him can change me and help me become a better person 🙏🏽
