Exactly right. Even with all of the safeguards rules often get changed. I read a life story of a perfectly decent young woman in her early thirties had decided that she had suffered long enough with anxiety and depression and she was given the right to die.
I find that preposterous but I imagine a driver full of morphine is much cheaper than actually searching for a treatment that would have worked for this girl.
