Tropical Storm Hilary expected to become major hurricane

Tropical Storm Hilary is rapidly intensifying in the Pacific and is expected to reach major hurricane status in the next 24 hours. Eric Spillman reports for the KTLA 5 Morning News on Aug. 17, 2023.

In completely unrelated news, 3 other tropical storms took their own lives today. Friends of the storms say that this was totally unexpected, and did not seem like something they would do.
