Instead of pressing T for the Tools you can press the mouse wheel (center button), and it will appear at your cursor's position.

Great vid Robert. Pressing G brings up the GO TO window. Handy to jump to a particular bar instead of scrolling. Especially if it's way off screen.

Great tips! A time saver is shift -right mouse click. This will swap between the last 2 clip views you have used (transient, clip gain etc). Shift- J resets all meters. Great for gain staging etc I've learnt so much thanks to you youtubers - thanks!!

Another basic is Z for the Zoom tool. The cursor changes to a magnifying glass and then you can click and drag select an area and the view will zoom instantly there. ALT-Z undoes to where you were before. If you keep Z pressed while you select the area, the Zoom tool is selected momentarily, so you do not need to press Z to unselect it again afterwards.
