One downside of pex is you need special tools to work on it. Most people wont want to carry these tools in their van. Having a system field serviceable with just a wrench is a nice thing. That said, pex is so unlikely to leak it probably is not a big concern.

Is Propex flexible enough to connect directly to the pump without increasing the noise? Typically you would isolate it with flexible braided tubing.

This is very high quality stuff. A bit overkill for my needs. I use a cell phone charger to power a 5 gallon water jug.

I wish some one would do a video on tank fittings. Plastic vs metal and the type of thread sealer for the fittings. I feel like no one explains this. :(
