I love my 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Platinum Wind Chill Pearl! No vehicle is perfect, I am after the reliability, space, safety and driving comfort! Stay safe.

You can't expect a nearly 5000 lb vehicle to perform like a sports car. Toyota has too much equity in their base clientele and it would be too risky/foolish for them to design a "stand out in the crowd" vehicle in such a competitive segment. They cater to their Toyota clientele and do it well.

The top thing I look for when buying a family SUV is tire grip.

We bought a GH Platinum Hybrid Max in Sepember of 2023. It now has 7650 miles on it. Over the weekend I drove from South Lake Tahoe, CA to Albany, Oregon and back for a total 1135 miles - I set the odometer at 0 at the start of the trip and didnt clear the mpg between refueling. That trip went over several mountain passes, through rain and sleet, driving around town a bit. My speed was set at 67 miles an hour on the freeway.
When I arrived back in SLT the mpg showed an overall average of 27.6 mpg. OUTSTANDING !
Full-time AWD, 400lb of torque...oh what fun it is And...everyone stop worrying about that one cannot put more than 13-14 gallons when empty in the tank. Toyota purposefully left a greater margin of fuel in the tank so not to damage the Turbo.

I still get 375 miles per tank (13-14 gallons) = 27.5 mpg

1. We usually replace the stock tires.
2. Electric steering is perfect.
3. We love the styling.
4. MPG is no issue. Its a big SUV.

I love the grand highlander limited. This car is fabulous too pricey but you pay for what you get, reliable strong and fuel efficiency for a big car like this, this is impressive.

This is very bad... i mean #1 you literally change the tires and bam problem solved. Just sell them new and get other tires..

#2 i love being able to drive with one fricken finger.

#3 stop bi%#ing its a family suv with fantastic mpg and space. ...
Lol this car is amazing if your not insecure about what losers think of your finances

Nonsense. Vehicle isn't perfect but does what it's supposed to do.

Hi all, I got my 2024 GH Limited AWD last week. This vehicle has microphone in driver side as well as passengers side. But while on a call the other end caller cannot hear the voice of passenger. Tried calling different people and same issue. Dealer have no idea. Any of GH owners has this issue ?

The hybrid platinum/max has a larger engine and turbocharged whereas the xle and limited hybrid does not. However the xle and limited hybrid variants still get 5 mpg better than the hybrid max/platinum so you’ll get closer to 30 mpg at 70 mph.

The hybrid version of this car is awesome. It has the cargo capacity of a sienna combined with the aggressive looks of a rugged SUV combined with 36MPG. It's a no brainer and I put my deposit down on the first one I could find.

Despite any shortcomings covered in this video, I believe the Grand Highlander will be selling very well.
The XLE Hybrid is supposed to get about 12 MPG better fuel economy than my 2015 Forester. So the XLE Hybrid is a win for me in both MPG and getting a third row to boot.

Everything she said is the opposite. I've been ask by lots of people about my Grand Highlander and even taking a picture of it. I have driven this baby in long drives and handling is amazing, not to mention getting 24-27 miles/gallon. Great car and performs way better than other SUV's i've own before.

Well if you're going the speed limit and not racing other people on the road then the tire grip is inconsequential

24 mpg @ 75mph is not too impressive. 75 mph is interstate speeds. My 2003 Excursion 4x4 with 6.0 will get 18 running 75.
