Wuthering Waves Japan Customer Support made a huge blunder by putting all of the Japanese players who reached out for refunds in the CC line in the e-mail instead of the BCC line which allowed everyone that was e-mailed to see both the names and e-mails of all the other participants.
This comes on the heel of the Jiyan Weapon (Verdant Summit) Scandal just a couple of days earlier.

This is the only update since then going through all kinds of feedback Kuro Games got regarding Wuthering Waves 1.0
it was revealed there will be free rewards for all players;

Crystal solvents - x20

Astrites - x800
Morphable Elite Class Echo I - x1

as well as Yinlin's banner being moved up by a week to be released on June 6th
With the new area, "Mt. Firmament" and new Resonators "Jinhsi" and "Changli" along with a new boss "Jué" coming on June 28th in Version 1.1

From the looks of things, there isn't a consistence sense of outrage throughout JP. But more of a sense of disappointment that it happened.
However, from looking at things on the whole on twitter, it seems there's still a very strong number of people interested in playing this game that genuinely enjoy it.

The "-タップすると" part is to avoid the web event posts on their for easy searching.

This gives me hope that Wuthering Waves isn't finished in Japan.
They can definitely bounce back from this, but they first need to re-build that trust within the community.

Update on JP Concensus that I can see on twitter;
I just went through all the current replies and quote re-tweets to that post, again.
In the replies (of about 120~140? I lost count) I saw a total of 10 comments mentioning the mail leak, some of them jokingly, some of them not.
In the quote retweets (around 150?), there, I saw 10 which were overtly negative and 5 which mentioned it but in a way of like "That happened, but don't let it happen again, okay?"
So it looks to me that around 7~9% are angry that nothing was mentioned. But even then, they just wanted it addressed (Me too, tbh) but they didn't sound overtly malicious towards Wuthering Waves.
I actually saw more people mentioning how they spoiled who the new boss will be than those mentioning the email leak.
I'll be keeping an eye on the situation.

Mistranslation has been a Kuro thing ever since PGR released on Global nearly 3 years ago, they're really new to localisation compared to other companies and they need to absolutely get the hang of it Asap.

Them shortening the patch cycle to avoid ZZZ's launch is a great move on their side. I also understand why they would want to hasten this patch, especially the Jiyan's banner to quickly change players perspectives by bringing new shiny things.

Them announcing echo system changes, exp changes etc. proves that a large number of their players were having issues, that also goes for the performance issues which many CC's thought was just reports in bad faith.

The 5 free weapon pulls is great and all, but i really hope they come up with a proper solution for the JP mishaps.

All in all a good patch note.

Thanks for the update! Glad to have someone clarify JP community side of things to try and get rid of all these doom posters, which I'm so, so tired of. Healthy competition is GOOD for both games and people need to start realizing that. Kicking a potential competitor down in a genre where a game like GI is dominating it due to next to no competition, doesn't make GI better. If wuthering waves was dominating the market like GI was and GI was the new game coming out I'd be supporting GI for healthy competition.

They addressed the Email leak in a different post for JP. They are all getting $60 amazon giftcards and reviewing their JP team customer support to make sure those mistakes dont happen again.

I mean, ppl see they can run Genshin on old devices or so they claim, idk last time i tried it was awfull, so they see WW has the same visuals and they think it should probably run, they dont know WW uses another engine that its more resource demanding so it lags/crash and therefore those low star reviews. Its Kuro job to optimize the best they can, wich they didnt on launch, so the bad impression.

Im playing on a laptop with a 3050ti, 16gbs ram and a i7 11800h on full hd with DLSS set on quality and the game still have fps drops on some areas, and now whenever i have youtube as background music (cuz pgr has bangers ost) my fps halves, even standing on the city, idk if anyone else has this problem.

Lets hope 1.1 doesnt come with another waves of bugs, also...im not ready for Yinlin yet!

a jp player who had their email leaked here, I would describe my reaction as more than disappointed. Furthermore there were quite a few people under the official post on X mentioning the emails now, so I would propose you go back and check. Replies may have not been there at the time of your recording, however.

Remember Kuro games is a AA gaming development company, its their first rodeo in AAA gaming space. that being said the way they respond and be transparent to the community is much much better than any other AAA game company

They also need to fix the EN stacks for Jiyan's weapon. Its meant to say 3 stacks but for EN its 2 still iirc

I'm happy they finally responded and this new update sounds great, but I'm going to be cautiously optimistic since this sounds like a lot to put into the game after just a few days.

I think with the Public Announcement of the E-Mail thing they want to wait until they solve everything within the Individual People and after that they might announce somthing Publicly like an apology or something. its understandable that they want to get rid of that Issue first before admitting and talking about it if that makes sense.
