The real danger isn't that AI can even come close to being as good at you at your job, the danger is that middle managers and execs that have no clue how hard programming is and are bought in on the hype will try to replace you with AI anyway. Luckily, most companies that try this will probably lose a lot of money doing so, and the hype won't last forever, so it'll blow over, but the job insecurity is still a threat. Companies in different sectors have tried to do this to other lower skilled jobs and for the most part failed pretty hard, but the tech industry isn't exactly known for learning from mistakes.

One hundred per cent true. A crutch cannot be compared to real legs. Marketing hypes. Do we need AI? Yes. Do we need to get rid of AI? No. Can AI be used against us by those with power? To a greater extent. Do we need to think that one day AI will do everything for us, including filling our bank accounts while we are busy doing nothing? Never gonna happen. Never, ever.

Keep up the good work of spreading the truth, even if some people disagree.
