I really do love the symbolism in this film: the way it portrays parasites as subtle, seductive and well hidden on the outside, but on the inside, insidious, ravenous, at first glance terrifying but once you get to know them... really very pathetic, pitiful even.

For some reason every time this girl changes into the alien queen, I always think of The Relic (1997)

The queen sees him in the middle of the lockers and chooses to go to the side and theow the lockers down the middle rather than chase down the middle. Then, she breaks the bars and bracing for the stands to be moved in and out and yet they keep working to eventually trap her.

The 3rd act simply made it all make sense. Delilah, Stan, and Stokley being infected made perfect sense cause they were all pretty much living a lie instead living their truth. Casey and Zeke were the only ones living their truth so them being infected would’ve made no sense.

I have to ask though .... if the queen was breaking through the struts on the stands to get through, which she was way too big to fit so she had to be when she got to the very end what was left unbroken to crush her?
