Mercedes C300 Wet Carpet Fixed

What you don't see in the video: We did the same cleaning process and modification to the other 3 drains to prevent it from happening again. We also removed the seats and carpets to let them dry, it took four days of drying. We then used a sanitizing spray to make sure no mold or growth would occur on the carpets. When the carpets were removed, we access the few electrical connectors that were wet to inspect and clean the pins with contact cleaner. Luckily in this case the customer brought us the car as soon as she realized the carpets were wet. If she waited just another day or two, it could have been much worse. It's key to get things like this taken car of immediately. Water can also come from a/c drain tubes, door vapor barriers. Also, check under your hood near the bottom of your windshield for debris like pine needles and leaves as this will also cause water to flow into your car. Thank you for watching.

No need to take off wheel etc. there is an very easy way. Open front door. There is an vertical black rubber on the body side. Open slowly with your fingers. Inside there is an small pipe ( open side of pipe ‘s diirection is to the front of car). Pull a small amount of water up the sunroof front holes. Then move that pipe slowly. End of the pipe was made of shrunken soft plastic. So you can move up an down. And finger the center. So dust and mud inside the pipe will flow with water. Try to pull water sunroofs holes. Then you will see water flows immediately. Thats all

Thanks for the video. I did the test with water and fair enough it was clogged. Temporary I push air with the compressor to unclog it. But later I’ll do it that way. Mercedes’ c 300 has CAN sensors under the rug and will cause serious damages to the vehicle. Including no crank

It's the same on virtually any car with a frickin' sunroof. What a pain they are. I only ask a roof to do one thing: keep me dry when it rains!

What about rear drains?

Rear passenger side mat is getting wet - is it the same clog causing that?

Is that the same tube the ac uses to get rid of
Condensation? My car doesn’t drop any water when ac is on.

Does anyone know where that same drain plug is in a 2005 Honda accord or if it would be similar to this area and also has a sunroof as well thanks 🙏🏻
