The first public Cross Play Test for Warframe happened today!

Warframe is a free-to-play action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game developed and published by Digital Extremes. Released for Windows personal computers in March 2013, it was ported to the PlayStation 4 in November 2013, the Xbox One in September 2014, the Nintendo Switch in November 2018 and the PlayStation 5 in November 2020. It's also planned to be ported to Xbox Series X/S.

as an xbox player, the speed of chat was insane compared to just xbox, you'd see an xbox player in chat every 10 messages on average

I crashed every time I tried to start a mission until I turned off the crossplay option. Then they ended to test. So it went well.

I’m just excited to have everyone be able to play together regardless of platform. A game like Warframe shouldn’t have its player base splintered off from each other

I've barely been playing lately. I think I'll be back playing more if/when I can transfer my PS account to PC.

Its going exactly as I expected, first test crossplay, then bring dojo friends or trading and once that's all done you will have crossave.
The devs are insane. (as we know) and this will have multiple steps that would never exist if the game was crossplay from the start, those will be gone after its fully crossplay and crosssave.

Didn't even know they did a test.
If I ended up with a console player (not sure...?) everything went smooth. Didn't notice a thing = good.

Both curious about how it's gonna go, as well as equally excited. I've heard some console players look at videos, as well as switch over to PC and say it's like an entirely different game. I'm not sure if that's just because of the pacing, or graphics, or if the difficulty of the game even scales differently, haven't really looked into it. All I know is, I'm glad to see a way to play with other friends that aren't pc enthusiasts. Random side question, anyone know where Leyzar is from?

dont know if it was while the test was live, but i had horrific GPU spikes earlier today. like, my usual steady 72fps (i cap it there) was constantly dipping into the 15-20 range. it seemed to correlate with spikes in my GPU usage as well, based on task manager. about once every 5 seconds I'd get a spike (like, 3-4x the load as the average for the session)

Hopefully we can transfer progress. I used to play warframe alot on xbox but I made the transfer to PC. I would love to play warframe again but I dont want to grind everything I had all over again
