In your custom settings you can do just:
ITEMS_DYNAMODB_TABLE:
and then just use for all the places that need the table name, its cleaner.

I'd like to see a video (or series of videos) about testing.
Unit testing seams to be straight forward, like in regular project (still keen to see a video for that).
I'm more interested how to approach integration tests, contact tests, …
