Good points from both sides. As a GM, it's hard not to get emotions involved when it comes to Ohtani as he's one of a kind.

Two reasons why the Angels don't let Ohtani go. He gets wins for the team on Pitching/Hitting (no brainer), but also more importantly for ownership...he rakes in the cash from fans in US and internationally. Getting rid of Ohtani will lose so many fans and the stadium will resemble an Oakland A's home game. The team is just one or two good pitchers from being a contender. They are really close. Lets see what GM does. Good luck Angels.

Why we pretending that Trout is the same player that he was. He's not. Hes injury prone, and when hes healthy, he isnt the same (still great-ish, but not what he was in his prime)

Imagine being the GM that traded away the best player in world for prospects. Its like having a billion dollars and you trade it for lotto tickets.

The reason why shohei ohtani MUST be traded to the Yankees because he really wants a championship ring 💍 please bring him to the Bronx if they Yankees MUST trade THEIR young players to GET shohei ohtani in pinstripes in the Bronx NY and the fans will be blessed and happy for NYC.

Emotional yes, and a shortsighted businessman does not help.

The only team that can give the angels a fair return would be the Astros. Yordan and Framber. Ain’t no way the Angels trading away a player that may end up being the greatest athlete in American sports

It's funny that Bo says "you have to take the emotions out" and yet the way he's talking, you can tell he's an emotional guy. LOL

The angels can actually compete this year, you’re not gonna get fair value for him anyway at this point just keep him and try to make a run, it’s the least those fans deserve

The Angels should keep him for all the intangibles he brings from a business stand point. If he does leave, Please go the Dodgers.

The Angels are one mini run from a solid playoff team. Can't trade him now. The Angels are pretty balanced, and their trying. They added Escobar and Moostakis. They get Soto back, and they're pretty deep.

He's not staying but I wouldn't trade him when the team is actually playing well enough to clinch a post season seed, if anything I would go all in and get a big name or two in the trade deadline and let the dice roll.

By that logic, shouldn't they have traded Trout years ago? And that would make the Rendon signing an even worse decision than it has been.
If you're being a ruthless GM, then they have 2 guys with combined $670 million contracts who at this point are nothing but emotional decisions.

So, the guy that says that the Angels should trade Ohtani regardless of their performance is talking to the guy who says that no team should go after Ohtani because he's a risk, are talking about a guy who, for the past three years, consistently has proven them wrong. Bk continuously says that Ohtani should not do what makes him great (pitching and hitting) and Bo Porter wants Ohtani traded especially if it's to the Mets.

The decision had been made last season to ride or die with Ohtani. No point in trading him now.

If you lose a talent like this and get nothing in return, the organization won't recover for years.
