Why it's good to KEEP praying the same prayers, even if it feels like nothing's changing.

Hope you're doing well! This parable about the persistent widow (Luke 18:1-8) surprised me, because I didn't really expect Jesus to touch upon this topic of not giving up when praying about something/someone. I had thought that if nothing was changing, it was time to move on from the prayer, but this parable teaches us the root issue is faith in God. Only God is in control and can answer our prayers, so we must not lose faith that He will answer us (it might not be the answer we desire though) in His timing.

it's good to pray the same prayers because it reaffirms that we truly want what we are asking for, if someone's prayers keep on changing then it shows that they're not stable in what they actually want, so be repetitive because it helps you remember what you desire ❤️

Yeah and it says God knows what we need before we ask. Sometimes for myself I just say, thank You Jesus. Because I should always be willing to say thank you to Him for every good thing . I try to have that child like mind being open and learning continually. I also pray many of the same prayers and ask for forgiveness of my many sins. I love His beautiful words and lessons. It never gets old. I can’t even imagine how beautiful it will be in His kingdom one day as He promised.

"I raised my grade up by studying more". But it doesn't always happen. "We worked harder as a team, and therefore won the soccer match, 6 to 0". But it doesn't always happen. The teachers said, "Study hard and you will get a good grade", but it doesn't always happen. Examples of "Cause and Effect" that doesn't always work out. The same with God (or Jesus). God (or Jesus) doesn't always answer prayers. There are people who have faith, as you, who pray fervently, but don't always get their prayers answered, where the prayer was important.

I know God will answer prayers in his own time, if He wishes, but sometimes He never answers, it seems. I think this is one reason Christians become disenchanted with God, or Jesus, because their prayer was not answered, an important prayer. They try to do right, to do what God wants, but God doesn't hear them, or notice them it seems.

So, someone looking from the outside, who doesn't have a point of view on this, thinks these Christians are fools believing in a God that doesn't answer their prayers, even though the scriptures say He will answer their prayers. The scriptures says that you only need to have faith, to believe. Nearly all people have heard of, or know of Christ, and Heavenly Father. But the people from the outside observe my thoughts about Christianity. That is one reason why Christianity is losing in America.

You are a good person! Keep doing what you are doing. People will listen to your words, think about it, compare with their actual experiences concerning Christianity, pray about it, and make their decision of what is right or what is wrong.

Also, which church does one go to? Catholicism, Disciples of Christ, Mormonism, Jehovah Witness, Quaker, a Holy Roller Church, Moonie, Baptist, a non-denominational independent Christian church? Which one really teaches the truth? Some accept homosexuality, transvestite, same-sex marriage, polygamy, abortion, polytheistic, and other perversions, which they say is okay. And they are Christians.

If that is true then why go to a hospital to be cured and go straight to a church. Also many other religions have similar healing stories too....
