I know that this an older video, but I wanted to comment and share that this is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I have a small HTML only form that takes an input and adds it to a table based on a ton of other weird stuff. This showed me how to get to see that data (i was not using the name field on the form) and then how to pull it out of the response. Thank you.

Hi justin, you asked if someboby wanted some more of this and... yeah I do! It'd be so greate to develop and entire raw html form with the proper validations, saving data from dropdowns, etc. You said is the bad way of doing it, but it gives more control of many aspects I thing... ThanKs!

Thanks, Justin, this is very helpful. However, is anyone else having issues returning the POST data back to the view function? I attempted to put some print statements like yours in the view function on top of request.POST, but I seem to get nothing to print out in my terminal. Actually, now that I think about it, I couldn't even get a string to print out from my view function, yet my terminal shows "POST /projects/ HTTP/1.1." 200 after I enter info into the form text box and hit submit. Any help on what I might be doing wrong would be helpful!
