Abstract: The US FDA recently (07/30/2023) has cleared over 692 AI medical algorithms, with radiology representing 76% of those. AI is revolutionizing radiology, offering advancements in image segmentation, computer-aided diagnosis, predictive analytics, and workflow optimization. Nonetheless, integrating AI into radiology presents distinct challenges. This talk will explore the radiology workflow, from scheduling to image generation and interpretation. The speakers will discuss the potential and challenges of AI in radiology, including model bias, interpretability, and human-AI collaboration. The presentation will highlight how computer scientists and radiologists can work together to leverage AIs opportunities, overcome its challenges, and positively impact healthcare through responsible AI development.
