Wow. This song combined with the photos of those who didn't survive is one of the most powerful moments in movie history. Thank you, Gary Clark!!

I lost a shipmate of our During the Gulf War. His helicopter exploded and sank in the Red Sea, taking him down in the wreck. We mourned this big loss. This song always makes me remember him. Rodney Crockford, you will never be forgotten.

I just watched DWH for about the 3rd time. But I never focused on the ending credits song until tonight. My first thought was the sound reminded me of a throw back 60s era blues southern rock ballad. And then I come here and see Gary (a black man, of which I am). Not what I expected. It's amazing how great music can transcend our preconceived notions about many things in life. What a heart felt and touching sound and beautiful lyrics. It was a fitting ending to a tragic story and reflects well on the men who lost their lives.

The first time it made me sad. The second time I felt happiness. The power of Gary.

Im Scottish and watched this movie recently, so powerful, this soundtrack at the end, playing over the pictures of the 11 brave souls who died in this tragic accident brought to light Scotland’s own oil disaster in Piper Alpha, 6th July 1988, 167 dead, God Bless all who have perished in this dangerous industry, R.I.P

I adore this man! He does amazing things for my eighty year old, dementia suffering mother! As soon as she hears him everything stops, she looks at me, her face softens and she is away! Hands in the air just making patterns of joy! She is a true musical spirit...raising me up on anything that had a guitar-based soul. And it seems GCjnr is from the same stock! Ta mate!

The moment it showed the eleven employees that passed away from Deepwater Horizon, I couldn't hold back the tears that were building up. The harmonica made it harder for me.

His voice sounds like an old country artist, boy was I surprised. Soul country man with guitar wailing!

As a southern veteran, this is a great anthem when they lay me down.

This song makes me wanna visit the south and stay there. It's that country feels you have when you're listening to it. It's like you could hear the sound of the birds, contemplating the sunrise on your front porch, and a big field of 🌽 right in the middle of all that. That song makes me go places in my mind.

This song is so fitting for the end soundtrack of the Deepwater Horizon. Eleven souls that found peace after the worst disaster in U.S. history. I couldn't hold back my tears as well because seeing it again was so painful.

I grew up with my uncle's playing guitar and singing and I've always been a fan of all types of music. A week ago I heard come back home and I think I had a long overdue breakdown. Cried for 2 days but all for the better. I could listen to GC Jr o
