So... as the thumbnail says - I HATE DEALERSHIPS! They are such a necessary evil, especially with warranty work. Needless to say the dealership had my truck for quite a while just to try to warranty an item and "fix" my truck. In all reality if they would have listened to me the first time it would be fixed and not still messed up! Anyway, onward and upward!

I have a 19’ XLT. Did a sync 3.4 update and began having issues. Lots of folks running the same version of sync 3.4 also have this same issue. Some say its the update that messes the APIM

Were you able to fix this by replacing the APIM? My 2019 just started this about a month ago, and it's super annoying. I think I can replace the APIM myself, but I just want to know this is what fixed it for you.

My 2019 is doing the exact same thing. Now, satellite doesn’t work.

These sync systems are absolute garbage. I’ve had 2 Sync3 super duties and both have had the GPS issue before 36k miles. The crooked dealership claimed my phone was the problem.

Funny how the phone never loses GPS signal unless it’s plugged in to CarPlay.

I literally just went thru this with the dealership. I have been having the same issue with my ‘16 F-150. They said it needed the update. They did the update and of course when I picked it up, it was still doing the same thing. The touchsceen response improved a little bit, but still isn’t as responsive as it should. I get the no GPS logo as well. Everything your truck is doing is exactly what my truck is doing. The service department gentleman told me that it probably needs a new sync module or something to that effect (something that allegedly cost “a grand”). So, is there a fix??

Mine did the same thing but I got lucky And agreed to replace mine

when mine goes haywire it shows me flying cross country!!

I have the same issue, and I will not be buying another Ford vehicle because of it. What was replaced under warranty extended warranty at 20, 000 miles later it happened to get. They want $1500 to replace it again and I bought spending $1500 forget what that last 20, 000 miles they should cover it because it’s a defective part.
