I like GoPro, but when it comes to drones, DJI is the first of them all.

But do any of the features work consistently? I have a phantom 4 and so many of the features work so i consistent. It just ends up frustrating me. I like how they are trying to innovate but don't put features in your products that do not work right in the future please DJI. Just makes the price higher for me to pay

Game over, GoPro. This drone is cheaper (than Karma with Hero 5) and has a ton more features, like tracking and obstacle detection. I will seriously consider getting this drone. I wonder if it would be able to follow me if I go on a run.

Just finished chat with DJI tech support... Turns out that is can follow you only if you're going uphill, if you're going downhill it will fly in same level, it will not descend with you, and eventually it will loose you... :( So, everyone that's waiting something that will follow you down the slope while you're riding your snowboard, skies, downhill bike and such things will have to wait for solution, or to find someone to control this thing ;)

I could say that the karma can still compete..selling point was you can use it anywhere with the gimbal and camera

The controller looks similar to the Karma? Like in the same way a boat looks similar to plane? It's also a lot more foldable than the Karma

If you only you take aerial footage and don't like the option to upgrade cameras as camera technology advances, this Mavic Pro is great for you. If you like capturing more diverse footage, whether it's air, land and under the sea than the Karma package is better for your needs. There's a reason you need to cover the gimbal/camera on the Mavic with the dome because it's puny as hell and wind factor will hinder it I guarantee it. Too bad you're stuck with whatever camera is stuck on the Mavic because a year from now we'll even have newer better quality cameras and by the way it's shaping out the Karma is the only one out of these two that will give you the option to swap out cameras. Also for the thousand dollar price point, the Karma package gives you a Hero 5 Session for $99 dollars more you could get the 5 Black, you get a detachable gimbal, gimbal grip, a controller with no phone needed and you get a backpack. With Mavic, you just get the drone and the controller in a box for a thousand dollars. Karma wins!
