I feel sad for this captain, especially when he ordered boat number 6 to return, but the officer did not carry out the captain's order. Here we realize that he is the captain who has lost his prestige. I think he felt guilty because he was walking with a ship in the middle of the ice. Oh my God I hope all those souls find their eternal peace The story of the shipwrecked, the captain, the ship's crew and the musicians makes me sad

On the night of the sinking, the wireless operators were swamped transmitting and receiving passenger cables, and some of the ice warning telegrams from other ships were not delivered to the bridge. Surviving officer LIghtoller believed that if Smith had received them, he would have slowed down or at least altered course. He was not a reckless man.

Guys please stop blaming the captain for the sinking 🙏

He never wanted to have the ship go full speed. He was being ordered to do that by J. Bruce Ismay, the director of white star line, the company who owned titanic.

Also it was a moonless night and there was a cold water mirage, So the lookouts couldnt see.
