1000=Natural Number, Whole Number, Integer, & Rational Number
3=Natural Number, Whole Number, Integer, & Rational Number
-9=Integer, & Rational Number
35%= Rational Number
20/4= Rational Number

Thanks so much! this video really helped me get a better understanding of how to classify numbers!
👍❤😄

20/4 = 5 = natural whole integer rational, 35% = rational, -9 = integer rational, 3 = natural whole integer rational, 1000 = natural whole integer rational

Thank you for this video. The diagram and your explanation helped me to see the classifications. However, I regret I don't understand the importance of these classifications. Positive, negative, zero, fractions, and percentages are all concepts known to me. Why have these other classifications? Also, I think it is confusing that fractions and percentages can be numbers. I see that they are representations of parts of other numbers. 1/2 of 100 is 50. 1/2 of 200 is 100. 50% of 100 is 50. 50% of 300 is 150. In my mind, it is difficult for me to see 1/2 or 50% as numbers in and of themselves. Fractions and percentages seem the least rational of all numbers. [EDIT - I understand the calculation of 1/2 as 1 divided by 2, which is .50. However, it feels wrong to me. How can 1/2 be .50....but also 1/2 or 50% of every other number?]

I don't understand how a repeating decimal that repeats to infinity is rational and an irrational number with nonrepeating decimals to infinity is irrational. They both go to infinity.
