very helpful. Is it possible to include tracks like this into qgis from csv files with coordinates? The situation is, I have a table from field sampling with an initial and a final position (point) for each line (sample), for each point I have two columns with the Long/Lat coordinates. Instead of adding the initial and the final points separately as two layers, I would like to insert them as a connected line (transect) for each sample from the initial to the final point. Haven't found a tutorial for this. Any help is very welcome! Thank you

I'm attempting to insert my artificial water source points onto the Pongola map, but when I get to adding my file, in the preview it's coming up with all my data in a single row instead of the way it's presented in my excel worksheet. I've saved it as a CSV file, so I'm not quite sure what's going on? Any ideas?

Hello, I have added data from a csv file and the "dots" are off the map. Geographically nowhere close to where they should be. I have checked the projection and I believe it is correct. Any ideas?

Can somebody explain to me why my QGIS imports the csv table with many different columns as just one column, which then is just not useable...?

I continue to have a problem displaying a set of POINTS created from a CSV file. I have a project with Layers imported as WMTS layers. They all behave properly. I select one these Layers. I choose Add a Layer>Text Delimited Layer. Import the CSV file. Choose the same CRS as the WMTS layers: EPSG 26916. Select the X/Y Fields and Save. The points do not show up in the selected layers but only when I Zoom to The Layer after selecting the POINTS layer. The other layers disappear and will not display unless I Zoom to them. Then the POINTS layer disappears. I have started a new project and get the same results. Created a new POINTS layer and get the same results. Any suggestions?
