The final event of the Erasmus+ project EUF – Engaging and Empowering EU Families took place today, bringing together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore ways to strengthen family dynamics through storytelling, digital tools, and interactive engagement. Held at Somateio Ermis in Athens and online via Zoom, the event was conducted under the auspices of the Hellenic Psychiatric Society and featured distinguished speakers from across Europe.
➔ A Gathering of Experts and Change-MakersThe event opened with a welcome speech by Mrs. Irini Kapeloni (Ermis Association), followed by remarks from Fokion Dimitriadis (EPIONI) and Dimitra Stephanopoulou (EUFAMI), setting the stage for an engaging discussion on family support.

Guido Palopoli (Consultorio Familiare Al Quadraro) and Paola Cavalieri (Across) presented the EUF project, highlighting its objectives and impact.

➔ From Concept to Reality: The EUF Card Game and Digital GuideA highlight was the EUF Card Game, designed to enhance family communication. Giulia Scatasta (Graphic Designer) and Gregorio Zanacchi Nuti (Game Designer) shared insights into its development. Dimitra Christopoulou also shared her experience with the game and its real-world impact.
Luisa Oliveira (Desincoop Cooperativa) introduced the EUF Digital Guide, a tool aimed at supporting families through digital solutions.
Expert Perspectives on Family Support and Mental Resilience, Dra. Adelina Paulo, Vice-Mayor of Guimarães Municipality, discussed the role of local governance in family support.
Psychologist and psychotherapist Daniela Radano highlighted the need for informal support networks in modern family communication. 💬
The event also featured Ehsan Khorasani, who presented his latest article on strengthening family bonds through digital tools and storytelling, aligning with the EUF mission. 📑
The event concluded with a discussion on Mental Resilience in the Age of AI by Thanasis Kanellopoulos (Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist), emphasizing the importance of psychological well-being in the digital era.
