EF Education is using the Hi-Mod frame just due to durability and stiffness. They just have the Lab 71 badge to promote the Lab 71 model but the UCI sticker lists it as CANN-S6HM which is for the Hi-Mod.

BananaWax Drag & Friction TDF Pro Chain Wax Or Silca Pro Chain Wax I Expect, but Some Teams use Oil on there chains maybe to save weight, that's the only thing I can think of, as they have every piece of kit available, waxing a chain wouldn't take long so guess it's team preference.
