A fun part of visiting a bike park is seeing what mountain bikes everyone else is riding, and trying to spot any rare or unusual MTBs! Neil took that to the next level at Dyfi Bike Park when he dusted off his notepad and got chatting with some riders to see what they were using to tackle Dyfi's infamous trails.

I can't imagine many people with hardtails going to that particular bike park, it would interesting to see the variation in a more moderate bike park.

Crazy to see the differences in bike choice. For most German/Austrian/Swizz bikeparks i have been to it seems to be the dtc brands dominating. Mostly Cannyon, Propain, Commencal and YT but then again a lot of Specialized and Santa Cruz aswell.

I use my Enduro bike for almost everything, it's 180 up front and 170 rear travel. A real good compromise between Trail and DH and lets you do 'normal' riding with ease too.

Cool video but wish the people you talked to were asked more specifically about their bikes like what they dont like or do like or what they want to upgrade/change etc!

Loved the numbers crunching! Thanks Neil! I’d love to see what types, brands, and wheel size of bikes are at Squamish BC!

Reason for fewer YT’s is their supply issues to the UK. Was looking to upgrade my 2018 Capra to a 2022/23 one but no stock anywhere. Ended up going for a nukeproof instead so makes sense with your results!

That's my lime green Whyte 150mm 29"er at 00:07-00:10 hanging on the bike rack. I rode that in the morning & demoed the Atherton DH bike in the afternoon. I couldn't really say which was more fun because the demo bike was Dan Atherton's & as well as his bike being a size too big for me his pro suspension set up didn't work for (amateur) me at all, but was still fantastic to try it out!

I really enjoyed that, you could have made it a 20/30 min vid. Spec comparison was cool. I was wondering if you would get a massive difference in data from different parks like FJs or Dirt Farm type places where 27.5 and 26 might be higher percentage 🤷‍♂️

AM Bikes with long travel like 150mm+ are just perfect for nearly everything. ❤

I personally prefer a 27.5 or a mixed wheel size, having a 29er for close to 2 years, I’ve established that 29ers aren’t for me as I have gone through 6 rear wheels and managed to bend every single one of them within 2 weeks and I have ridden 27.5 bikes which I feel are easier to throw about and despite riding them just as hard if not harder than a 29er I’ve never bent a wheel so my next bike will be a 27.5

This was interesting! Especially for me wo is planing to build a enduro or DH bike since I have a hardtail and trailbike with 160mm.

I had bet that there where more mullet bikes and the second most travel would be between 170-180mm

Raced DH for years. Never on a DH bike🧐. 2021 National DH championship winter park DH 2nd place on my Ripley. (60-64) class. I need to try me a proper DH bike. Happy Trails

Shouldn't Saracen have been listed as a brand then? 🤔 I'm actually surprised that Canyon wasn't very present. Would be different here in the central EU bikeparks I think.

Wouldn't mind seeing tyre choice or brand included in the data.

In Germany its Enduro. I think it is because Most ppl can use a Enduro Bike to Ride local trails without a lift or Shuttle. But iam still on my Dh Bike. Love it.

Interesting, I live in NZ where there are plenty of bike parks and you don't see that many downhill bikes at all, most people ride trail or enduro bikes, personally I ride a 120mm 29er, and it handles the bike parks just fine, in fact I don't think I'm any slower on it than I was on my previous bike, a trek slash.

if I don't mind walking all the climbing sessions, I would choose 200mm dual crown front shocks as well.
