it's so helpful!! is it better not to touch the bell of stetoscope? cz when I touch the bell in order to get the proper and clear sound of korotkoff, i get hand movement sound instead so i can't figure out systolic and diastolic sound clearly. Need ur help. thx

I have never heard sphygmomanometer pronounced the way you pronounce it. To make sure I wasn't hearing things I listened to how it is pronounced. I've always heard "sphyg" pronounce like i as in it.

I have a question about wrapping the cuff around irregular or large arms that narrow down near the elbow... should you make the cuff snug along the length of the arm or keep the cuff wrapped evenly so it's loose near the elbow and tighter toward the shoulder?
