King Kong: 1933 vs. 2005

The 1933 film King Kong follows the story of an ambitious filmmaker who travels to the mysterious Skull Island to capture the gigantic gorilla, King Kong. The 1933 Version is incredibly impressive.
This has to be the best, most realistic and technologically advanced depiction of a Dinosaur until the 70s.
I am serious. This Szene is ahead of its time by easily 40 years.


Comparing it to modern cgi is stupid though.
You just cannot compare this. Its entirely different worlds.
One is hyper realistic the other is theatrical, made with puppets.

I was 7 when I saw this in the theatre and this scene shook me then and still does now. I can stand violence and gore but something about a mouth getting split open shakes me to the core haha
