I still love my gen 5 from Fossil. The battery really does suck but it's a good watch and has never let me down.

I had mine for almost 2 years, and loved it, but started having problems with the charging rings and rotating crown button getting stuck. I wore mine with a glass screen protector, cracked the protector once but the screen was like new.
I've just upgraded to the gen 6, but I still prefer the feel and look of the gen 5.

Unfortunately this product has a raised glass screen that isn't flush with the top of the watch. Super prone to chips along the edges and the subsequent hairline fractures that follow. Be careful, cracked mine even with a screen protector after a week.

Not even 2 years old and I gate my Fossil gen 5, always turning itself off, can only start it putting it on charge. No good if you are out and about, I have had issues over the last 4 or 5 months. Now ditching it.

I got the watch at a much discounted price but the battery makes it hardly worth it even then. It barely lasts a day sometimes with many features off and light to moderate use.

i had the GW3 and had to return it 3 days later, because the battery was abysmal for the price.

Bought them this month for 110$ new and must say they are definitely worth the price. You can either use them on maximum and squeze them in less than half a day or turn off some features that you dont need 24/7 and you'll get approx from one to four days. The versatility won me over.. still I'm here checking If should not wait for gen 6.. :D

Recently i bought this watch
The battery is too poor
In daily mode I am getting almost 6-7 hours of battery life in customized mode i disabled everything then my watch was able to stay for 2 days but I barely touched it didn't use it for anything and charging completed in 2 days
Is it the way how it works or my piece is defective ??

its nice, i forget to wear it half the time because if used as intended the battery drains faster than a Tesla on ludicrous mode. So it's usually on a charger at home. When i do wear it, it beeps and vibrates in unison with my phones and laptop. Quite distracting while navigating with google maps in my car (but thats just a setting). I like the look and feel, but the slightly raised glass does develop some minute chips along the edges over time (2, 5 years) and ofcourse scratches on the metal. App usability is ok, speech to text messages are ok (dutch) . shortcut buttons are nice. This watch does give you "watch range anxiety" due to poor battery life. To be honest, aside from telling the time, i find that for most information thats presented by and on the watch, i tend to then grab my phone to benefit from a larger screen to read and reply. Basically making it a pager.

Is this gen5 still worth buying in 22? Brand new about £130?? I know battery life is an issue? But most smart watches only last 24hr to 36hrs?? I’m looking for low price full smart watch and love the Garmin venu 2 plus but not the price! Lol

I have the lastest fossil. The gen 6 and the battery isn’t great. After what 2 days of notification pop ups and time checks it dies. I don’t even use it like tht. Good looking watch but sometimes I don’t even care to charge it.
