The fact that Interstellar did not get Oscar for best music says that Oscar award means nothing.

Nolan and Zimmer are the perfect pairing. Both geniuses in their own right.

Interstellar is one of the movies that never fails to move me to tears, swear to god. And I’ve watched it over 10 times over the years.

Nolan already knew where the heart of the movie was when he wrote the story for Hans. His musical piece just solidified it. Jonathan Nolan was doing this script for Spielberg for 6 years before Spielberg had to walk away because the script was attached to Paramount who at the time Dreamworks was on their lot, and then switched hands to Disney in 2012. At which time Jonathan recommended Christopher as the replacement for Spielberg.

Interstellar is about a father fighting through everything that comes in his way be it a human, or be it a black hole but that doesnt stop the love of a father and his children.

"I've written this tiny, fragile, little thing", describes humanity perfectly and very fitting to the concept of the movie.

His impact on film can never be overstated. His music is the soul of all the films he is part of. Truly legendary.

Only Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer can create together art... from art.. And it works every time.

That kinda got me choked up actually. That’s really beautiful actually and kinda gives some great context for the movie.

Hans and Nolan go together like peanut butter and jelly. When my daughter was in the hospital for months on the day I would pick her up, I played the interstellar soundtrack all day. So beautiful.

The movie is about love, particularly a fathers love, and how it transcends space and time.

For a movie with so many big ideas and such a massive and grandiose plot, at the heart of it, it really is a personal story about a father and his children. Masterful pairing Zimmer and Nolan are

The definition of Art.
It's the little, personal, fragile fragments that get turned into something Epic.

It’s a masterpiece- I’m an organist and it’s great that his music used an actual pipe organ and it’s brought it to the attention of a wider audience who’ve never really listened to or know much about pipe organs- I think a lot of people naturally associate organs with religious buildings and boring sermons and that puts off people- but listening to his full interstellar movements on the organ on here is so good - Richard mcveigh has recorded himself playing the full work that he arranged himself- it’s truly epic and well worth a watch 👍🏻🍻🥃

This reminds me of the movie Inception. One of the dialogue was something like “In order for an idea to grow, it must be as simple as it can be.”

Interstellar’s main message was about a father’s duty/promise to his daughter. That was it.

But the premise & backdrop was in space and through time.

Damn.

The most beautiful song I've ever heard tbh. If you close your eyes and listen quietly the music brings up so much emotions and healing for myself.

How he created a masterpiece with just a short Letter as source is already incredible. Hans really did create some incredible works. Gladiator, Pirates, Inception, Man of Steel or Dark Knight for example. Even some game music like Crysis 2 or Modern Warfare ❤
