The payoff is better for Shake Shack because they don’t have to pay salaries. For a customer is straight up nerve wracking, especially if there is a line behind you. It’s not “an experience” that people love. Nice sugar coating sales pitch though.

As a consumer, this is everything I hate about modern resteraunt experience. Congrats on the profits for the shareholders though.
