This is such a great plugin. You all did such a great job on it. I am warming to making music on the iPad now..

I reckon It's hiss and hum. Tape hiss is an artefact from the high frequency recording bias signal...

the first plug in i ever bought...and still one of my most loved... including the motor noise.

Interesting. I don't have the plugin so grain of salt, but I'd consider the "hiss" to be more of a "AC hum". Still cool either way, but I can see why the term "hiss" might be confusing.

(Edit: For clarity, I tend to associate "hiss" more with white noise. YMMV.)

I have been using Gauss a lot lately on my iPad. It's such a useful app.

As for all the "hum" people - I get that, but when used in-app, it is definitely a sort of hiss - you can hear some of the hissy top end above the ground hum, and that definitely shows up when you run your audio through it.

This plugin is an absolute favourite. I use it a lot. For example on electric guitar, reverb tails, synth pads, and vocals.
Not at the same time. 😁
But.. I guess it wound sound great on that too. 👍

What's the hz of that hiss? It's lovely and throaty, not wimpy like my household 60hz hum.

Heh, yeah, the audio noise is more motor-like than the motor noise. :-)
