2018 Honda Civic AC hissing noise

2018 Honda Civic making a hissing noise after AC is turned on. The AC has been only throwing hot air and summer is approaching. Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

Bad condenser causes leaks this is what's causing this sound changing you condenser and refill with refrigerant will fix this as well as the ac performance

I can also hear hissing from my ac from time to time. Sometimes when i accelerate. Other than that, it still blows cold air on all vents. And i only set it to 25 most of the time cause it's cold enough for me. Do you think the hissing i'm hearing is normal?

The hissing noise for my car only happens when my car is turned on. My dad says it could be the pump in the back of my car since I hit something near the back.

Honda has a ententes warranty on the ax evaporator if it goes out, mine did

Sounds like the evaporator core. May need to remove the entire dash to replace it. Have the same issue with mine.

Mine does this out of the front passenger side but only when I hit 2500 RPMs any thoughts?

Mine started blowing warm air and hissing like this. I have a warranty extension so it covered the condenser to be replaced. Hoping that fixes it. If not I’ll come back here

What happened now? I have the same issue. Hondao Civic 2020. Driver side is warm air. Passenger side is a bit cold. When i went to a garage they checked it and it was low on freon. Im not sure if thats normal if you have low on freon or maybe theres a AC leakage. Now im not sure if i should refill the Freon or have it checked.

Mines makes the same noise and I got the condenser replaced under warranty now they’re telling me it’s the hose and it’s $1100 to fix one hose I looked at it and it’s a $40 hose and $900 in labor. The rest is for refilling the AC.

Hi my 2020 Honda civic si is doing this when starting up then goes away. And the ac blows warm air with passenger side being a bit cooler but still warm? Taking it to dealership where I bought it used. But that’s at Toyota……

It’s the condensor. It happened to me. I got mine fixed for free from the dealer.

Your ac in low gas just charged it and this sound will gone if the sound come back after two or three days then you have a Leak somewhere.
