SPOILERS for the Fallout TV Show! I wanted to make a video with my perspective on why Mr. House was at the Vault-Tec meeting, and whether or not he actually worked with them.

Before the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, The Courier discovered an old holotape; a record of a meeting between Mr. House, Frederick Sinclair, and Vault-Tec. With the record seeming to suggest that Vault-Tec was responsible for the Great War, The Courier returned to New Vegas to ask an important question: Was Mr. House working with Vault-Tec?

Mr House had the look of “I’m not buying this bullshit” during the whole meeting in my opinion. I have a feeling this was likely his inner dialogue

That’s what I also thought, Mr. House seemed too be thinking in other things while the others were thinking on crazy experiments, he wanted to know Vault-Tec’s goal, is clear that he wanted to be the winner of this “Great Game”

AI gets more impressive each year. Can barely tell its not the actual actors other than the extra mellow tones in their voice lines.

As far as I am concerned, this is canon

“Why did you humour the philosophy of Caesar even though you didn’t want to work with him.”

Love it.

Mr House is indeed a man not to be messed with as he's always 20 steps ahead, well prepared, a ingenious man and a ruthless businessman.

Mr house is going to be something that the show runnwrs are going to have to handle very carefully

Do you guys really thinks that the smartest man in the world would be outplayed by a brain on a roomba?

He is clearly not allied with them, just look at his platinum chip delivery. He knew about the bombs but it wasn't on time. We'll know in season 2 if he is still alive or not.

as soon as I saw mr house at the meeting, i was like oh he is only here to spy on these fools.

Don't know why people are going on about it, just because he attended a meeting, investors attend shareholder meetings even they have nothing to do with a company just as an example so cannon or not it would still work

Yo, Vault 21 was full of people educated in running games! He had a Vault built to educate the people he'd need to run the casino floor!

During the meeting, the way Mr house presented himself, gave off the impression he wasn’t as into it as everyone else, rather he was just there for info and the smartest way to get info is to criticize some enough until they start to argue back, which is what he did the whole time. And when they said they were going to drop the bombs themselves, he most likely had a small panic attack but ultimately proved himself correct, and most likely ordered the platinum chip right then and there, only he was a day late. And yes he was already working towards the “end of the world” he calculated, just in secret most likely.

2:36 "The art of governance is about managing risk, not avoiding it." This pretty much defines Mr. House. He knew that inviting a lone courier completely blind to their true intention and side into his base of operations is a big risk to his plan, yet he still does it anyway because the reward is better if he managed to convince the courier to work for him and pull his plan off.

This was basically the sense I got from that scene. He's actually willing to question them, call them out on their own plans. He didn’t seem interested in working with them if it didn’t ultimately benefit him.

Someone get this to the show writers immediately

People need to understand that Vault Tec was just a cog in the greater machine of war.
No different than our military industrial complex we have today. People talk a big game but that's just arrogance. I believe Vault Tec may have influenced the war to have gotten worse, but it's clear the real result of their labors could not account for the terrible reality.
Everybody thinks they can save or rule the world. As we've learned through many fallout games everyone had different ideas as to how to do that.

The show indirectly confirms the Enclave and Vault-Tec were close, with the Enclave being where Vault-Tec's cold fusion tech leaked out from.

Don't know if anyone else caught it. But the room the Vault tech meeting is held in at the end of season 1 is remarkably similar to the war room in the final scene of Dr. Strangelove.
