The Method of Loci also known as the Memory Palace is a very useful mnemonic technique.

This reminds me of how I memorized what floor a friend’s dorm room was on in college. I had one friend who lived on floor 2 that I regularly visited and then a second friend I made later in the year who lived in the same building. To remember what floor the second friend lived on rather than just memorizing the number 4, instead in my head it was easier to remember two floors up from first friend 🤷‍♂️
