Edit: I feel like my comment is being taken seriously and I want to clarify something. This is exaggerated I know I’m not the only one but it’s kind of annoying seeing the same broccoli comments and not a lot of comments about her singing. I understand it’s a joke but can’t we praise her as well :)

I just can’t with her. Do y’all see how she is running around the stage AND STILL has the support and ability to nail EVERY.SINGLE.NOTE. It’s astonishing! The amount of training that goes into making this look completely effortless is ridiculous. Opera singers can so often get caught up in the technique they forget to act and tell a story. Diana Damrau does not let you forget what is happening in this moment as she blows the audience away with her soaring vocals. Simply the best!

She's the only one I've seen who performs this piece with the intensity and anger written into the character. Almost all the others I've seen look like they're just happy to hit the high notes, as I would be. 🙂
