WHO: Universal Health Coverage - What does it mean?

Universal Health Coverage (UHC) aims to ensure everyone receives the quality services they need, and is protected from health threats, without suffering financial hardship. It's a way of reducing poverty and increasing health security, so that no-one is left behind. This video message in support of UHC was recorded by WHO Director-General Margaret Chan for UHC Day 2015.

I have a dear friend whose father is eighty years old. Her mother had been taking care of him by herself for years and can't do it anymore. They have gone to Medicaid, Medicare, and various social services and have been told he doesn't qualify. He is on Social Security and his income is too high, She is dead set AGAINST Universal Healthcare and then complains because her parents can't get the help they need.

Nice explanation. Needs real efforts. United Nations adopted Human Rights first time in 1945 and Health was not included. In 1948 it was included as far as I know. Health remains a low priority practically despite everyone acknowledging its importance.
