Disney is determined to turn light sabers into "Laser swords" work less on the light sabers (because they were already great) and more into fixing the throne room scene no one spins that much in a dual.

The lightsabers should be left alone with their original vfx as it doesn't make sense to purely make them like the prequels or later the sequel variants.

Yeah, because the team that adjusts lightsabre FX for streaming/Blu-Ray are definitely the same folk that write movie scripts.
