Having passed my CBT on a scooter, because I just cannot get to grips with a clutch, I am looking at going down the automatic route for motorbikes. I'm 60 and can't be bothered learning to use the clutch on a manual bike. Call me lazy, I don't mind. So in my situation, this is the bike that I aspire to purchase once I've passed my mod 1 and 2. The NC750 just doesn't look that good tbh. This is different though. I love the design, build and the tyres look meaty. And even if I get some bikers not nodding to me because I'm on a scooter, then who cares. It's all about enjoyment and this looks enjoyable to me 🙂

I quite like that none of the other manufacturers have figured the Xadv out yet to churn out a competitor. Such a niche is what makes this bike tick the demand box. Then again, Toad, you could not have had this bike for all this time and not mention the smartphone connectivity functionality of that new screen. Otherwise the review is spot on, as was the habitat you chose for the bike. Perfect mix.

As soon as I hired this in Madeira Portugal for five days I wanted to buy it. But I wanted style so went for the Forza 750. Traded in my BMW R1200RT. What I like about the manual mode is the you want in auto you’ve slowed down auto will change so it won’t labour the engine. Also ordered the central locking top box. I absolutely Love it.

The power stated at 1:14 is wrong. It can be A2 compliant tho if ordered that way, as you mention just seconds later.

I am very intrigued by the X-Adv. So much so, that it would make this vintage-only, seasoned motorcycle rider consider buying one. I get all kinds of vibes from it. A mixture of Dan Gurney's "Alligator" with a DN-01, Maxi-Scooter and the original boring-as-possible NC700. It's quite overwhelming. At first I was like "it's a NC750 without the convenient "tank" storage. But then you said that there are massive amounts of space under the seat and it feels very different than a NC750, which are both very important factors. I see this bike as a result of the continuous quest that someday the perfect "one bike that does it all" will be built. Too bad they don't sell them in the USA. Thanks for the review.

This is definitely my next bike. I've been riding maxi scooters for 10 years now. I was eyeing Yamaha T-Max 500 for my next bike but when I saw X-ADV in flesh and realized that the price is the same as T-max, I was bought. What a beauty. Can't wait to get some money and buy this beast..

This thing looks amazing. I own an XR650R (now a supermotard), an older 1150GS, a KTM 1290 SAR and a 250 Vespa. This looks like they all swapped DNA and this was the result.

Sort of bike I might ride when I'm 80, I'm 62 now and still loving my 'normal' bikes :-)

A shame you focused on the least use this bike will get i.e. offroad. I live in the Croydon area where the roads are atrocious and it’s that type of use where I’m keen to see how it handles plus real roads beyond. The power your quote is wrong. It’s closer to 60 bhp up from 54. It’s a bike that you either get or don’t. I don’t believe it’s more than a styling exercise but good on Honda for creating something different. The fact there are no imitators 4 years on says it all. I’d hope to see it vs the 750 Forza, it’s closest alternative.

To all the people saying your expecting to see stolen ones, do you have no faith ??
Lock up and cover up your bike, add tracker and make sure you look after it.

What length is your inside leg? I am interested as I have little legs, so I really have to consider this.

I just got this bike and i love it 😍
The only thing that am frustrated about is the Bluetooth system it Uses honda’s road sync app and it only supports android, no support for ios 😭 what happened to the old fashioned apple CarPlay and android auto 😑 please honda add support for IOS already 😡
