Honda X-ADV Review - Who is it for and what can it do?

The Honda X-ADV has drawn a lot of attention whilst I've been riding it. It makes people smile and it makes people look quizzically at it when it's parked up. So what did Honda create when they took the bombproof parallel-twin engine from the NC750, strapped it to the excellent DCT gearbox and wrapped it up in an adventure styled 'scooter' suit?
Fun and Practicality are two words that spring to mind, but in this video, I delve a little deeper under the skin to find out what the X-ADV is all about and what it's like to live with.

A big thanks to my channel partners for their continued support;

Ha! I love that I always get at least one dislike before anyone has had a chance to watch the video. I must have upset someone at some point! No problem though if it makes them happy, its all engagement at the end on the day 👍

Good review. My wife and I commute from Stansted to London daily on this beaut. It is a sublime machine. I have nine in black with a Givi box to give the Mrs a comfortable relaxing ride. I’m 6ft2 and it find it v comfortable. Well worth getting the additional pegs also.

I’m on my second XADV, had 2019 and now ride a 2021 model. Use for 3 hr City of London commute every day. It does need foot pegs to give a real motorcycle feel and better for long rides… love it!

When me and my brother Marko's go cruising around Lithgow together this is exactly what i want at my disposal. It will give me all i need. Whether simply zipping down to Red Rooster after finishing my Coles trolley collecting shift, or in taking on Putty road with big brother trailing me on his Vstrom. I believe this badboy gives BL exactly what he needs in moving to Lithgow this Spring... Go Cettire!

Nice review. Your videos are getting better all the time. I consider the xadv to probably be the best looking scooter type bike out there and very possibly the best all round two wheeler out there as it can literally do everything; commuting, shopping, weekend rides, touring you name it. Still, there's no way in hell I'd trade my SMT in for anything except a new SMT.

Hey dude, your videos are getting better each week. You are trying out all sorts of different techniques that set you apart from the other commentators in the world of YouTube motorcycle vlogs. I appreciate your style and always enjoy your content. Please continue. Peace.

For most riding situations from quick highways jaunts. In the slow lane to city / suburb commuting to backroads and light open single track trails, the new Honda hybrid gas / electric ADV scooters will be the most cost effective fun 2 wheel transport available. I’m getting in the “que” early for investing in 2 of them. One as a “classic collectible” and 1 for riding the wheels off going every where as a new flavor of “light duty dual sport” 2 wheel fun, — WORD !!!

Nice review
I like that
Maybe I'd prefer cast wheels but only from a cleaning perspective

Would luv to take one fir a spin but it's another if a long list if bikes we don't get here in Australia. The only dct bike we get is Africa twin and we only get the LAMS Trident . It will be interesting to see if we get the full Tiger 660

Great review. Clearly a bike that divides opinions. I saw one recently and was surprised how high it was across the middle.
Just been watching your Ireland Honda event (part 1) and i am interested in trying the dct adv system for myself.

As soon as I hired this in Madeira Portugal for five days I wanted to buy it. But I wanted style so went for the Forza 750. Traded in my BMW R1200RT. What I like about the manual mode is the you want in auto you’ve slowed down auto will change so it won’t labour the engine. I did a round trip London to Hinckley and back turn a nice 71 miles to the gallon. Also ordered the central locking top box. I absolutely Love it.
