A/Prof Yan-Chuan (Yan) Shi is a clinical scientist and group leader of Garvan’s Neuroendocrinology group in the Healthy Ageing theme. She has a PhD in Medicine and a Master’s degree in Nutrition and medical qualifications that are recognised in both Australia and China, giving her and her group unique strengths in research, translation and collaboration. Her research primarily focuses on the regulation of food intake and energy metabolism.
