Hello, I usually read only the NKJV of the Holy Bible, so I always questioned whether it was really Samuel because the wording there is that Saul "perceived" it was Samuel. I realize now other versions say Saul "knew" it was Samuel. Very interesting. Thank you.

In Luke 24:38 Jesus describes a ghost. And says he is not one. Says he has hands and feet and bones and ghost don't have these things. He did not correct them saying you are believing in something unreal. Human ghost are scriptural. There is also a place in Acts whee he say about the same thing. Also a place where they thought Peter was one.
