Are you tired of uploading videos to Instagram only to find that the quality is not up to par? Fret not, because we have the perfect solution for you! In this video, we'll show you a simple trick to improve your video quality on Instagram using your smartphone.

Many people believe that filming in higher resolutions like 4K or 8K automatically guarantees better video quality. While that may be true in some cases, Instagram's compression algorithms can sometimes diminish the benefits of higher resolutions. That's why we suggest filming in 4K or 8K (if your smartphone supports it) but editing your videos in 1080p. This way, you'll achieve the best results when it comes to uploading on Instagram.

By shooting in 4K or 8K, you capture more details and have room for cropping and zooming without sacrificing the overall quality. However, when it's time to edit, downsizing the footage to 1080p ensures that the video retains its sharpness and clarity while avoiding unnecessary compression artifacts caused by Instagram's compression process.

In this video, we'll guide you step-by-step on how to film in high resolutions, edit your footage in 1080p using popular video editing software, and finally, optimize the video for Instagram's platform. We'll provide useful tips and techniques to help you achieve the best possible video quality for your Instagram content.

Don't let bad video quality hold you back from showcasing your creativity and talent on Instagram. With our easy solution, you'll be able to elevate your videos and make them stand out in your followers' feeds.

I tried uploading the reels at 2K quality and yes, even though it was compressed it was still better than when I uploaded it at 1080p resolution. I've tried comparing them myself.

4k still looks better when comparing with HD in the end. It's more about HDR uploads when Instagram converts them back to SDR after uploading. So annoying

Instagram has a setting you need to change in the App which saves data but the quality suffers. So turn that off and it uses more data but the video quality isn't lost.

This did not work. I created in Final Cut, then exported and it looks crappy as an IG reel.

What phone app do you recommend using for editing reels and tiktoks?

What about HDR? Should we record or export the video with that on or off?

Mine don’t lose quality they just drop in frame rate when I post. Even when I have the upload at highest quality toggled on. It doesn’t happen with YouTube or TikTok either.

I didn't know that Instagram could change the quality of the reel since it never happened before to me; now that I already uploaded the video and everything, is there a way where I could fix the quality without reposting it? I already pressed the high quality button, but it was only after I saw that it changed the quality/color :(

I’ve a doubt, I uploaded some pictures regarding some detailed plans, and they were saved in maximum quality, but when I uploaded them on Instagram the quality was amazing when I zoomed in, but after 2 days the quality went off, when I zoom in now it seems blurry.

*please help me out on this*
