VR is an experience, if all you’ve experienced is a quest 2 (or nothing at all) then thats what you should get. Otherwise it gets exponentially more expensive to do the same thing slightly better with a handful of tradeoffs. Especially if you want to build a PCVR rig to go with it/upgrade your current one, saves you a lot of money.

I grew up in the 90s and played sega when it was cool. All of these options in VR are crazy. If you haven’t played VR I highly recommend you try it.

Cambria is gonna be for more social/work experience probably mainly for Metaverse and it's gonna be more expensive.
If you want to play only Games just buy Quest 2 and don't wait for Cambria, you can play anywhere without wires and powerful pc

I’ve been using the quest one since it launched and still loving the experience. I didn’t buy the quest two because it didn’t seem worth it to me, but now the quest three is on the horizon I will definitely be picking it up.

By the time Cambria is released, I have already sold my quest 2 128gig for $300, this amount will be deducted from the next headset. I will surely be one of the first to order it. I liked the quest, and it's true that it has had several updates, but it's still old hardware. I'm more interested in AR than VR. I liked some games, but I wasn't addicted and only used the Quest once a week.

Having owned Quest 2 and all its predecessors, I am at this stage ONLY interested in noticeably higher resolution and wider FOV. I would pay double or even triple the price for this (but the increased resolution in Cambria seems too little to be really noticeable). Colour passthrough for AR is nice to have, but I wouldn’t pay more than 20 % more than the Quest 2 price for it.

I think META should release the 128GB Quest, , with and WITHOUT, , Hand Controllers, , to encourage
developers and META, , to produce software that uses only .... HAND TRACKING ( this is the future after all )
so the Qust 128 could then be avilable for $199

There's no way to explain VR to someone with just words, they have to put the headset on themselves, it's the only way.
That's how different and eye opening VR is.

Even though the Cambria will be expensive for me, I am still getting it as I am more exited for the AR capabilities it could have. However I am still keeping my Quest! Plus the face tracking I like and the more comfortable assuming design. Hope it does come out sometime late this year or early next year.

I have a Quest 2. It’s nice, but the Cambria may be overpriced for what it is. Still gonna get it. Just waiting on Quest 3

I'm not sure the Cambria offers anything I'm interested in. Augmented reality isn't my thing. An update to the Quest2, now that I'd be interested in.

I got a quest 2 early on in it's life and don't use it much anymore. I try games but beyond like a few they only have experiences, not games and the games aren't that long. It is fun to see peoples reaction to VR but so far it kinda is just a kids toy. PC VR is mildly better but it is obvious that it is too early to really be 'fun' for the masses. I like the social aspect, like VRChat, but only in small doses.

To each their own though, if everyone had an attitude like mine it wouldn't be advancing. I want it to get better but really it needs better games and I don't think the hurdle with that will be more people buying into VR to have more AAA games made for it the hurdle is technology. VR games are difficult to make and to get the same quality experience as flat screen games it will cost a magnitude more to make in VR than it is to make on a flat screen.
