4 Methods Of Succession Planting 👇🏻👇🏻

Показать описание
🌱👉 This is something I wish I knew earlier into my gardening journey.
Succession planting is the key to getting the most out of your garden during the growing season.
What is succession planting? It is maximizing the timing and space of your garden by planning ahead to your next crop and harvest.
There are FOUR ways of doing this:
1. Same vegetable in succession. Stagger the planting times of the same vegetable. For example, planting one row of carrots every two weeks to ensure a constant harvest.
2. Different vegetables in succession. Plan what will go into your garden after you harvest. For example, plant and harvest arugula followed by beets followed by peas.
3. Different veggies, same space. Plant tomatoes with lettuce. The lettuce will mature first as the tomatoes fill in.
4. Same veggies, different growing rates. For example, plant fast maturing carrots with slower maturing carrots.
This approach to gardening takes a bit of planning. Now if a good time of year to think ahead to the order in which you’ll plant your crops to get the most out of your space.
