I’m baptist, I prefer to just refer to myself as a follower of Christ, just a Christian . I don’t care for all these different denominations and divisions. I was raised Baptist and never taught to take the Bible literal. So, for anyone that might believe baptists are taught the same, don’t believe that. 🙏🏾 💕 I Love you all brothers and sisters in Christ 💕

Baptism does not save you. When it says in John 3:5 no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. It does not mean being baptized. It means being born again In Jesus. Which just mean accepting Jesus and being born again in Christ. Baptism is symbol that you follow God. But it is not a saftey net. If you are baptized but you dont accept Jesus you will go to Hell.

There's a vast difference in literal interpretation of Sacred Scripture in Koine Greek and literally interpreting the Bible in a translated language like English.

I had to stop at the 1:28 mark. Baptism of the spirit. Baptism by water is merely the outward display by command. Hard to believe the video can recover from such a poor intro. Unless this is parody?

As a Protestant i agree with you not everything is literal Scripture interprets Scripture. Almost all Protestants would agree with you as well.

Just had this debate with someone where essentially i did the exact same thing. Its sad when people havent encountered these arguments. When they try to evangelize, it upsets them a lot. My best friends mother in law works at a christian school where they teach bad anti catholic tactics to convert people. She and i are becoming rivals, some of the kids at that school go to my parish and it sounds like theyre being bullied. Sadly theres no catholic schools around here... i do my best to help them. I think it could be a good thing if the kids are interested but really really bad if theyre not.

I grew up Baptist southern Baptist at that but I found a wonderful church home as an adult and joined the women’s study group the lady that led us was of catholic background but married a Baptist anyway fast forward I move out of town and never found a Baptist church that I felt comfortable in recently been having dreams of the Catholic Church and I now have so many questions a bunch of whys lol but mainly I remember my home church and one main factor was the lady who was of catholic background held me accountable if I missed a study she taught me so much she had structure which a lot of Baptist lacked anyway can’t wait to go through all of your videos

When you are reading scripture, you do not just extract one scripture or verse or statement .You have to read in context of the whole counsel of God. So because you just went to him with a spirit of arguing him out, not necessarily to know genuinely what they believe or to correct where you think they went wrong, you had to end up there. Jesus's way was just to reveal the truth not to compete with the Jewish beliefs .
