I just really hate being around people. Now that I’m older I just can’t take it. I swear when the lockdown happened I was actually happy being home. I wish I didn’t have to step out in public. I unfortunately can’t find a job that I like. I’ve considered becoming a mortician at least the dead don’t talk

He is absolutely right. I didn’t realize why I’ve been miserable for over 20 years at work. My jobs and career have all been for extroverts.

you mentioned using the telephone being better for introverts a couple of times, i hate telephones with a passion. i would rather travel several miles to talk face to face with someone, even if its the same person. 1 on 1 or 2 in person i can do, texting and emails i can do, but telephones? nope.

Watching this video on my work break while I hear my coworkers all socializing 😂 I like my coworkers but they’re so social sometimes and I actually feel so physically exhausted. I like my job too, but I need something else (maybe)

As an introvert myself, I am very thankful for my current job. I make 95k per year salary(not including bonuses). I work from home. And I work on average 2 hours per week or 100-150 per year. I work for a massive AV company. I decided to stop working so hard and eo bare minimum. Since then I've bumped my pay 20k in 2 years and am now a manager of my entire department.

As an immigrant and introvert, deciding to major in accounting, then later realizing that one needs real good English in order to be an accountant is a mistake in my life. My gpa is over 3.5 but my first job is to do data entry after six years of hard work. If you do not speak English well, no company will trust you that you can do the job even you earned an A on your college essay class. Finally I went to my home country and became a computer teacher in a primary school.

IT helpdesk is a customer service job first, tech support second. Every issue you face will have a client/customer attached to it and to be any good at your job you need to communicate with them and investigate the issue. This also the case for senior jobs in IT as you will continue to communicate with people.

I'm an obnoxious extrovert trapped in an introvert body. I have worked in the restaurant industry (back of house!) my whole life, I spend endless hours with family members, attend parties regularly and make new friend everywhere I travel. I finally accepted, this doesn't do me well and now I have to create an introvert friendly life and career.

Hi Shane:

This is the second video of yours that I watched. You are no-nonsense, right to the point!! No artificial ingredients or fillers. 👍👍

Many of the tech-type jobs are over my head. And on the other end, many trades don't fit me.

I'm a creative type but want to find my niche in an arena where I don't need to be in the spotlight.
Writing is satisfying but it's missing something by itself 🤔🤔

Thanks for the clear instructions and generous sharing!!!

I am a personal chef and caterer. Love food, but I am only 28 and sometimes I feel overwhelmed having to socialize doing that job. I am extremely shy and introverted, and I have been questioning lately if I chose the right career path. Have a degree in nutrition and a culinary arts degree. and now I am looking to possibily start another path. I love writing, but was scared to pursue because I was scared on what my family would think. Thank you for this!
